Singing in the rain

I LOVE HANA KIMI (the Jap one)

it's 5.14am in the morning and it really cheered me up from the horrid mood i was in about 4 hours ago. I finally finished the entire series and sigh i cried n cried at the last part! I can't stand goodbyes they make me really sappy. But i kept clicking back to watch the part when Sano kissed Mizuki. Man, I'd die to have him kiss me too! haha I think i have a recent fetish of Jap guys, such as Takeshi Kaneshiro and a lot of the cast from Hana Kimi. I think basically they need to be sufficiently taller(maybe slightly long dreamy wavy hair like Takeshi and Oguri) and bend over to plant that surprise kiss ahh i think that's it. Hot stuff they are!

:) My eyes are swollen and I only just cleared my blocked nose but there's no doubt tv really takes me out of the %$#%$ moods I get into randomly.

Today is obviously not a good Parent Appreciation Day. Neither was the day of the xmas council gathering, nor the day when I kboxed at Calvin's house. Or the day I kboxed at clementi with Xun.

I need anger management courses before I start running away from home/cutting myself/become anorexic/become bulimic/turning towards the dark side.

I wish I were part of a drama series, and my personal pick would be Hana Kimi. First choice is the Jap version but if not, the Taiwan version would do fine as well.

RAHHHHH. ANGRY.

Activities of the recent weeks:
17/12 (Mon) - Gymmed at school, chucked with Esther and Rafael, met up with Runi for dinner!
18/12 (Tue) - Dinner with Yue and Jierong
19/12 (Wed) - CIP at SFSC, Christmas Jazz Concert with Joy!
20/12 (Thu) - Random outing(with kbox!) with Xun!
21/12 (Fri) - (I think I stayed home, but I honestly can't remember so if I did go out with whoever please remind me haha)
22/12 (Sat) - Frisbeee+whatever comes after haha
23/12 (Sun) - Location Scouting with Jinrui, +Tse Wei later to shop for somebody's present and random stroll along town:)
24/12 (Mon) - Chucked at Hwachong!(+whatever comes after frisbeee haha), Council Reunion dinner at BTP Pizzahut, Countdown(ahem) at Jinrui's house (inclusive of DDR and Streetfighter)
25/12 (Tue) - Tea at Mrs Ang's with some councillors

with such a packed schedule, it's no wonder I hardly found time to pack my room so it's still in its state of terrible disorder. I particularly enjoyed going out with old friends and feeling like I'm young again. Especially wearing a Santa Hat with white plaits of hair down Orchard Road until PS and playing with feather boas haha. Also finding the right notes for A Moment Like This, tasting the famous Rocher Road Tauhuey and trying to countdown to christmas (according to my own 10 seconds to 12midnight) and having the rest of my dearest councillors play along:)

Life feels good. Sigh I think holidays should be longerrrrr

Yesterday (Saturday), I attended some people's (supposed to be jierong, but jinrui and xunyu was there too) commissioning parade. I ended up sitting together with Calvin, Dawei and Sua Ning and we were rushing around to get photos with the suave commissioned officers in their No.1. It makes all the guys look deceptively good haha.

(Pardon the shitty photos - I grew much fatter and my hair is so messy from running across the parade ground to get photos from all of them)

But the part ofthe day I enjoyed the most was when we(Calvin, Dawei, Gareth, Sua Ning) went over to Calcal's house to have dinner(ordered pizzahut) and karaoke. He has the real karaoke thing! Can choose songs like kbox one super happening la! And we were singing and singing then xunyu came over after he was done with his dinner and we continued singing then later in the night I forgot how, but someone got mad and we were searching for the mass dance songs and we danced to 'Together in Electric Dreams' and we also tried to do Speedy but the version of the song was slower and shorter. Later it got more exciting and somehow they found all the dancey songs (Jolin Tsai, Xiao Zhu, Black-eyed Peas, Ricky Martin, Spice Girls, Cyndi Wang hahaha) and we went crazy and started trying to copy the moves in the mtv haha. Actually it was me, xun and sua doing the nonsense - we'll take turns to be the lead singer and backup dancers and the rest of them were the interactive audience. I WAS SO HAPPY!

I haven't enjoyed myself/felt so at ease with random people in so long! I don't really talk to them in school last time, but they are the few of the most genuine, smart and wonderful people to hang out with:) I think i repeated this story like 5 times already but i honestly didn't expect my day to be THAT good. wheee!

Things I Want To Do Before I Die (not in any particular order) :

1. Learn a new language/dialect (French, Jap, Cantonese)
2. Make a beautiful dress by myself for myself
3. Learn to play the piano (especially the song 'Forbidden Love')
4. Take dance classes
5. Fly around the world (either Tai Tai or air stewardess haha)
6. Fall in love and have a good and nice and proper relationship
7. Be a size 6
8. Attend all of my nerdies' weddings

Haven't thought of more yet but here's the list so far. Just to remind myself haha. And the Mango Sale did burn quite abit of my pocket:( but i try to tell myself that they are goood buys! Shopping is evil. Here's the damage in the past week or two:

- 2 pairs of shorts (1 from Cotton On, 1 from This Fashion)
- 4 tops (1 from Guess, 2 from This Fashion, 1 from Mango)
- 1 pair of pants (Mango)
- 1 dress (Mango)
- 1 pair of wedges (Tinkertoes)

sigh.

Shows(Or Stories) That Make Me Lose Myself Into Their World

(actually, maybe just some of my favourite shows la haha)

This is a really random post, but i was just reminiscing recently, about how easily I allow myself to lose track of reality and temporarily be stuck in fiction. And by temporarily I mean up to a month. You'll see as you read on. These are not ranked in any particular order, I went into all of their worlds before. They might not be great stories but I guess they really appealed to me! So here goes:

Chinese

1. Meteor Garden - okay, who doesn't love this show? I'm referring to season 1. Everytime I watch it I'm still in awe of their(f4's) presence. Super cheesy at times but gosh they were damn good! I remember staying up till 6am cos i couldn't peel my eyes away from the tv. And for sometimes, I thought I'd meet gorgeous eligible people even though i was(am still) loud and unruly. I'm still waitinggg

2. Silence - okay this one was really sad. I'm quite a sucker for sappy things, when people die and fall in love when they're dying, and die when they are in love or whatever shit. I stayed up till about 4am to watch the show everynight tooo. And for some time, I was honestly trying to be demure and sweet. Didn't work out for too long!

3. Hana Kimi (I caught the Taiwan version, even though I heard the Jap one was better) - I remember watching 1 episode every night on youtube after I comehome from work. The show kept me going when I was feeling troubled and down about stuff, and whenI was tired out from work. The plentiful eyecandy helped quite abit. Maybe because it's a school story, I thought I could relate quite well and felt like I was part of the class/gang in the story, looking on at the events from outside.

4. My Fair Princess - hahaha gosh I cannot believe how crazy I was over the show. I have all the books, and the soundtrack too, and I read all the books - which are in traditional chinese! Not the simplified one! omg! haha. And I think I started believing that maybe I'll meet some royalty who'll adopt me too haha

English

1. A Little Princess - I don't know if many of you remember, this one is quite old (I think it was back when I was in primary school) and was about some rich girl who was left at a boarding sch when her dad went away and news came that he died and the sch mistress started treating her poorly and made her a servant in sch. After the show I started keeping/wanting to keep a doll with me and talking to it whenever I was sad(which was probably when I got scolded by my parents haha what else to be sad about when I was so young right?). Quite an inspiring and empowering movie for little girls:)

2. Harry Potter - how can anyone not love Harry Potter after reading? I remember I could not put the book down when I first started reading. Personally I prefer the first few books because they were simpler and more easily fantasizable. The later few started getting abit too dark and grown-up with too many issues for my little brain to handle haha. But because of the first few books, I nearly believed in magic - somehow JK Rowling had the ability to draw you into that secret world she crafted.

3. Enid Blyton Boarding School Stories (Malory Towers, St Clares, The Naughtiest Girl in School, The Secret Island) - Any girl who hasn't read boarding school stories really missed out on a proper childhood! It gave me a totally wrong impression of what school is like but I loved the books! I even tried to write one of my own then HAHA obviously I failed. And The Secret Island was really goood! It made me want to run away and live on a deserted island myself whenever I got scolded by my parents HAHA. I'm such a dumb kid, forever getting scolded and seeking solace in ficticious things. I now realise all Enid Blyton stories don't deal with growing up - the girls in boarding school never seem to get their periods or pimples or what-not! And living in an island alone doesn't seem to have issues on where do the girls and boys bathe, do they bathe together in the river?? haha okay I am full of shit

Japanese

1. Precious Time (God, Please Give Me More Time) - This is quite old too, I think it was when I was in sec 3 when they showed it. It tells about how this fan and her idol met and fell in love. Takeshi Kaneshiro was acting as the idol and mann how can anyone resist his deep intense eyes i see already also will melt haha. This is the kind of story which gives you hope that one day you might get to marry your idol (but she dies in the show haha)

2. Love 2000 - I don't really remember the show completely, i just knew it was quite sad and Takeshi Kaneshiro was the lead actor too haha. He was some spy (bad guy) or sth but he fell in love with the good girl and in the end he betrayed the bad guys. I still remember the last episode, this scene where he was forced to shoot this bomb remote control so that the bomb won't go off in the amusement park(which will kill tons of people). But the girl from the bad guy gang(she liked Takeshi Kaneshiro) placed the remote control in front of the good girl which he liked, right at her heart there so he was in a dilema. But because he's some really good at shooting dude, he ended up shooting it without hitting the good girl. But she fell on the ground in shock and the police thought he shot her, so when he went down to look for her they shot him. Ohya and she was pregnant with his baby and after he died, she died while giving birth too. What a sappy show but I am dumb enough to like it haha. And i really love the music - Forbidden Love, Yesterday and Today

3. GTO - ohohoh nice show! He was such a rubbishy teacher but had so much influence on his students. I thought this was damn inspiring and cool:)
Korean

1. Autumn in My Heart - sappy show with cancer girl and dying people. Babies swopped at birth and brother and sister falling in love. Such a typical sappy drama but i think the koreans are damn pro at such stuff - creating all these mood with great background music and beautiful scenery. I think maybe because this was the first of the korean dramas which started the whole korean wave thing, so it made quite a deep impression on me.

2. A Love to Kill - Rain looked SO hot in a suit! he plays the role of a bodyguard and sigh how can you ever resist a guy in a crisp white shirt and nice black blazer. The girl was so sweet and pretty too and this is the sad and crying kind of show but AGAIN, jamie is a stupid girl who loves to cry haha. I liked how the show was told, there was someone narrating the story as a third person, so it was pretty cool.

3. Goong/Goong S - I think shows like these play on the fact that many girls dream of being princesses and marrying princes. And as usual, korean style does it well, with elaborate props and scenary and great music and of course an attractive cast to boot :D
