Singing in the rain

Well well since brendan chua said my blog entries don't take very long, i shall just do an update of recent events lest i forget about them very soon.

23rd August - It was a great, great day! Went for Frisbee Clinic and ran around like a little kid - haven't played for so long! I think I still kinda love sliding around in mud haha. After cleaning up, went over to Liting's place to check out some of her clothes which she wanted to sell, of which I proceeded to buy a pair of denim shorts which I absolutely adore now:)

Then we had dinner (with Bess and Adrea) and then we went over to Laureen's place to check out her newest addition to the family. He's tall, dark and handsome and Liting is completely smittened with him.

TOMMY!

We had a brilliant night, and we had this girlfriends-talking-about-everything (gossip, best ways to diet, hair, nails, affairs of the heart, growing up) session. We talked and talked until it was like 3am I think. I think it was the bestest time all of us had together in a long, long time.

27th August -Because I was going for my cousin's wedding in KL in the weekend, and being bimbotic girls as usual, Bess and Cin wanted to help me try to come up with some great hair. Look how it turned out --

But they came up with quite a few decent do's, I especially loved the one which cin pinned an entire ponytail for me, and I had it all the way to tuition and back home and the ponytail didn't die despite the lack of a rubber band!

30th to 31st August - went to KL for the cousin's wedding. I tell you it's the worst thing to be sitting in a car for more than 5 hours trying to sleep and not being able to do much else because I will get carsick.

my brother is growing at an alarming rate - I think the next time we go to malaysia during the chinese new year he'll be taller and I wonder what it's going to be like for the 3 of us sitting in the car for so long.

Then we had the wedding dinner in some hotel in the centre of the city of KL. The place was quite pretty (I heard it used to be Hilton, but they changed the name and management to some Malaysian-y thing, no idea man) BUT THEY TOOK LIKE 2 HOURS TO START! Granted, wedding dinners aren't supposed to be on time, but the cocktail was from 6.30pm to like 8.30pm. Was dying of hunger la. So my sister and I proceeded to entertain ourselves by hiding in the toilet to take photos (because we don't even know anyone there, and we don't really talk to the Malaysian side relatives). We wear in the same colour scheme (black and white), I think it was also my influence cos I shopped with her for her dress and everyone knows how obsessed I am with black and white.

And this photo is super funny. We were standing outside the ballroom but then you know the lights are dim for the ambience, then the lousy phone took a photo and we looked like we're from a different era and in some sepia print photo or something.

While waiting, took more photos

Oh and this uncle of mine whose son was getting married is pretty well-to-do. So he's building a dream house for his family, and it's damn nice. They had this model of the real thing, and there's the swimming pool at the back, and some spa place around.

He rented the bungalow opposite the one in construction for the family to live in while waiting for the real thing to be done. So dreamhouse-like i tell you.

And of course while I was in Malaysia, how could I not shop right? Bought a whole lot of things, rather pleased :)

6th Sept - MAF!!! As usual, love the company of my fellow 32nd. I think we won't be growing up for quite a while! The decor was really cool. I loved the city gate, and they had this awesome laser display thing, it was like Musical Fountain I swear. So with the lousy phone I managed to get a few photos:

Alrighty, THIS IS NOT A VERY SHORT ENTRY SO IT DIDN'T TAKE VERY FAST TO WRITE, brendan chua don't anyhow say me ah. Haha. Okay back to work, I haven't done any school-related constructive stuff in dayss
