Singing in the rain

yesterday night cin bess and I went for NUS's business bash, which had the theme of Hollywood, so cin and I decided to go as Mary-kate and Ashley Olsen haha!
my best ashley olsen impersonation

Mary-Kate (cin) on my right, and bess ended up looking a bit like Nicole Richie from A Simple Life with her cute hair and dress haha. Nights out with girlfriends are always the most fun:)

0ng liting just cut her hair and it's almost like the one I wanted to cut since eons ago arghh I'm so jealous!
hers is side parting though, and the fringe is slightly shorter, but still very cool nevertheless. And the back is the almost shaved kind, the slope thing ahhhhh
anyway, I have analysed my options and after considering how my hair texture is wrong for such hair like the one above (because the texture is too soft and everytime I try to style it it'll go flat in less than 5 minutes) So I've decided I want my short hair someday too, it just can't be like the spiky types. And I saw one which I really like, but I think it's something like the one above, not sure if the back is short and standing too. I'm not sure if any of you have seen this Gap model - she has this short platinum blonde crop and it's very very nice.
My other ideas are coming from Agyness Deyn, who's this super hot model haha. Her hair isn't exactly styled in the 'need-to-wax-and-make-it-stand' way so maybe it's something I can consider. And there's also Rihanna's new hairstyle. Sian man I am so tempted to cut my hair.
I've decided - once I slim down enough to not have my puffy cheeks/when the school term starts next year, I'll get a short haircut! (whichever comes first) haha

I went swimming in the morning and swam 18 laps (would have done more if cin and I weren't bursting from lunch and if I wasn't in a rush for the 2pm thing at SP). And in the evening, it was as if I wasn't really Jamie anymore (Jamie=lazy and sluggish and sloth-like), I decided to go run, and I ended up doing 5k, which is the furthest I ever ran at my canal!

And stupid me went to waste all that by stuffing myself with 2 large slices of pizza RIGHT AFTER DINNER cos I went to Rocky's Pizza at Sunset Way to catch cin and her friend. SIGH

My body clock is very wrong, I sleep at 4+, almost 5am everyday and get up at 2pm. Anyway, today was a little fruitful because I finally went down to Vivo to get the sensor-tag removed from the Forever 21 dress I bought months ago. It's the queerest feeling walking into a shop with a little fear that the alarm will beep (it didn't) when you know you didn't steal anything. Then having to go to the counter to tell the staff that they forgot to remove the tag from months ago, and when they asked for the receipt I didn't have one cos it was too long ago - completely feels like I stole it (like I started to feel a little warm in my cheeks). Luckily they had the sense to realise that people who steal things don't usually march right into the counter to get the sensor-tag removed.

Later headed over to Sentosa for some function organised by the company my dad is working in. We got free tickets to take the luge (the first time we queued for like 1 hour I think, DAMN long!) and had dinner at Coastes where the main part of the function was held.

with my little brother who's not so little anymore, almost as tall as me already

and feeling honestly bored while queuing, wearing our helmets. I swear we waited from when there was light till dark.

Am very full now, over-ate and over-drank orange juice. And had to finish my daddy's glass of wine cos he's driving and he didn't want to stop drinking, so my mummy made me finish it for him.

GOING SWIMMING TOMORROW TO BURN FATS

I thought i'd be ignoring the ndp after watching the Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony yesterday until I realised there's this part of me inside who still loves the parade, getting super excited and running to the tv to point out when I spotted a friend marching in the GOH (Gareth!!!), commenting about out how the contingent looks smaller now, how I used to be one of the people standing there waiting for the president to take a ride around in the rover too. And when the air show comes on I thought I was already too old for it, then the Black Knights did something like this:

still captures my heart! And when we hear the sound of the airplanes, my brother and I still run to the balcony to see if we can get a peek at the fighter planes. I guess some things never really change:)

It's amazing how I still manage to devour books at this rate. I'm done with The Kite Runner, and I think I would like to go to the library to borrow more books :) Why doesn't orchard have a library anymore sigh.

And I went swimming today too, and tomorrow, the plan is to go running so that i can keep the fats off(since I keep gorging on food - must be pms or something).

Now I have a wild idea, about cooking. I want to cook a meal! I am quite excited haha. All that's left in the agenda is to pack up that messy room.

The weather was quite good today, and I'm determined to get a chance to stand in the rain and splash about in puddles before I turn 21. haha

When I grow up, I want to travel to space to see what our world looks like from above the clouds, see what stars look like up close and marvel at the tiny speck we are in the universe.

Did you ever want to go to outer space? And travel to the ends of the world to see if we will ever find the end of the rainbow. Sometimes when I start reading I get lost in another world, and it's almost like watching a drama serial, only that this time you get to imagine what the stories and scenes look like.

Tonight, I wish i lived in a world where the temperature is always at 20 degrees celsius, where clouds are only allowed in the day so that stars can be the only source of light that shines in the night. French fries appear out of nowhere when you start dreaming of them and spicy instant noodles really cook instantly. Food that is consumed never, NEVER will be stored as fats in our bodies. School never starts until we're really ready, and best friends are the way they always are.

Okay for now the pertinent one would be the spicy instant noodles and not growing fat, because i am about to cook one now ARGHHH

All completely stolen from glori's blog. lovely council reunion on the 2nd August which we planned over the year, which turned out to be good:)

Had the luxury of time to read a book, "My Sister's Keeper" - yes i know i'm awfully slow, but then i finished it with tears in my eyes anyway. I haven't read in so long! And liting lent me another book, the kite runner. I wish i had more weeks to myself before school reopens again.
